Calcite Acid Neutralizing Filter Media-NSF Certified, Georgia Marble (1-10 lbs)

NSF Certified Calcium Carbonate is made from Genuine Georgia Marble Utilized to raise the pH of water which is acidic Calcite is a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media. One of the advantages of Calcite is its self-limiting property. When properly applied, it corrects pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. It does not over correct under normal conditions. Upon contact with Calcite, acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the pH which reduces the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. NSF Certified and manufactured from naturally occurring, high-quality Georgia marble. When you use Georgia Marble, you are using the best of the best, whether it be acid correction or re-mineralization. Periodic back-washing will prevent packing, reclassify the bed and maintain high service rates. Depending on pH, water chemistry and service flow, the Calcite bed will have to be periodically replenished as the Calcite is depleted. As the Calcite’s calcium carbonate neutralizes the water, it will increase hardness and a softener may become necessary after the neutralizing filter. Granulated Activated Catalytic Carbon – Chloramine, Hydrogen Sulfide (1-5 lbs)

Liquid phase virgin activated carbon that is manufactured to develop catalytic functionality. It is a produced from coconut shell GAC using a highly sophisticated and confidential process. Of course, it is NSF Certified. The catalytic activity of this activated carbon makes it highly effective for the removal of chloramines and hydrogen sulfide from potable water. It’s extremely large micropore volume makes it particularly well suited for the removal of low molecular weight organic compounds and their chlorinated by-products such as chloroform and other trihalomethanes (THMs). An important feature of this material is its superior mechanical hardness and the extensive de-dusting during its manufacture ensures an exceptionally clean activated carbon product. Catalytic carbon is engineered to remove chloramines, hydrogen sulfide, VOCs, iron, chemicals, chlorine, tastes, and odors. Catalytic carbon has very high reaction kinetics for the removal of chloramines from potable water which are specially designed to carry a large number of catalytic sights compared to products from other catalytic carbons so as to react with and remove different types of chloramines, including mono-chloramines. Features And Benefits•Catalytic activity allows for smaller more compact system sizing•NSF Certified•Greater degree of contaminant removal•Enhanced Catalytic activity•Large and extensive internal pore structure•Optimized density•Maximum hardness•Low dust and turbidity•Excellent adsorption capacity•High volume activity•Rapid de-chlorination•Low filtered water turbidity•Engineered to be better than Jacobi CX-MCA and Centaur Catalytic Carbon Return Policy – Returns will be accepted up to 30 days after purchase, per eBay guidelines.
